Dead Woods

The better part of ShadowClan territory is covered in dead trees, and recently that has become a very dangerous fire hazard. The bark of these trees are so brittle and dry that the heat alone has caused a few of them to burst into flame. Most of them grow far enough apart to keep the fires from spreading, but if the wind should ever pick up, the entire forest could be engulfed in flames. The ground is equally dry and barren, all of the ferns have died off, and the moss has crumbled into thin dust. The earth crunches underpaw, making it almost impossible to hunt. Even if there were any prey to catch, they'd hear you long before you could sneak up on them.
